On May 11 Expocentre opened the 22nd International Exhibition for Telecommunications, Control Systems, IT and Communication Services – Sviaz-Expocomm’2010.
Deputy Prime Minister, Chief of the Government Staff of the Russian Federation Sergey Sobyanin welcomed participants, organizers and visitors to the Sviaz-Expocomm’2010 international show, pointing out the exhibition as a most prestigious forum in the field of tele- and infocommunications. He also noted that this year the exhibition hosts almost twice more participants than the last year.
Making speech at the exhibition opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Telecommunications and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation Alexander Zharov mentioned that Sviaz-Expocomm is the largest event in the area of telecommunications, information and mass media technologies not only in Russia, but also in Eastern Europe. This year the exhibition brought together 560 companies from 25 countries. Germany, Israel, the People’s Republic of China, Taiwan, France, Sweden built up their national displays. Over 300 Russian companies showcase their achievements at the exhibition.
The Deputy Minister named main events of the exhibition business-related program, particularly– the enlarged session of the Board of the Ministry of Telecommunications and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation, Internet Governance Forum, session of the Council on mass communications of the Ministry of Telecommunications and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation, awarding ceremony.
At the opening ceremony Minister of Communications and Information Technologies of the Azerbaijan Republic Ali Mamed Ogly Abbasov and Vice-President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation Sergey Katyrin wished the 22nd International Exhibition Sviaz-Expocomm’2010 to run successfully. Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Yuriy Borisov, Director of the Department of Information Technology and Communication of the Russian Government Konstantin Noskov and other officials participated in the exhibition opening ceremony as well.
