The 26th edition of the Sviaz-Expocomm Exhibition for Telecommunications, Control Systems, IT and Communication Services featured the Conference and Presentation of Trade and Economic Ties between Shenzhen and Russia. The event was organized by the Trade, Economic and Information Committee of the Shenzhen Government (China), the Electronics and Information Association (CCPIT, China), and the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Deputy General Secretary of the International Centre of Economic and Technical Cooperation of the Shenzhen Ministry of Industry and Information Technologies Mai Min stressed the importance of Sviaz-Expocomm for Chinese companies. “During this exhibition we sign major contracts and establish business relations, which lead to mutually beneficial development of our countries,” said Mai Min.

Director of the Department of External Relations and Work with Business Councils of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vladimir Padalko talked about activities carried out by the Chamber to build a network of contacts at all levels between Russia and China.

In his welcome address Deputy General Director of Expocentre Mikhail Tolkachev noted that Sviaz-Expocomm responded to many questions of the industry professionals and generated a keen interest among businessmen working in the field of electronics and IT.

The presentation showed that Shenzhen was the fourth city in continental China in terms of main economic figures. Its total share in the Chinese international trade is 12.9%. The major part of this share is IT products because Shenzhen is one of the world’s centres in manufacture and sale of hi-tech products.
